Use of this Website

Material may not be copied, reproduced, republished, downloaded, posted, broadcast or transmitted in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial home use. 

This site also contains images and content which are the property of other companies we deal with.  All their property is acknowledged and their permission should be sought before using any of their material.

How to Place and Pay for an Order

Online Ordering

Clicking on the   button within the website will add the relevant item to your online “Shopping Basket”.

Payment is not requested until you click the button to proceed to the “Checkout” stage.

Shopping basket contents may be modified before proceeding to the “Checkout” or may still be amended at this stage.

Only once you have confirmed your purchases will you be asked to enter your credit card details.

We take your online security very seriously, PayPal is a guaranteed secure site using 128-bit encryption and all online payments are processed through PayPal.  You do not have to be a PayPal Member to use this service.  For more information about PayPal, please visit their Security Centre

E-mail Ordering – Non-Local Customer

Customers may place an order via e-mail if they do not wish to pay online with a credit card.  We will confirm your order and the cost in a return e-mail.  Payment may then be made by cheque.  All cheques should be made payable to Tangleberry Wood and sent to our trading address as detailed at the start of these terms.  Goods will not be despatched until full payment has been received. 

E-mail Ordering – Local Customers

Local customers may use this facility to reserve goods for collection and pay online at the same time if they wish.  DO NOT order using the Add to Cart facility on the website as postage will be automatically added at the end of your transaction.

E-mail your order to us indicating when you would like to collect the goods from the shop and how you wish to pay.  If you wish to pay online with a credit card we will e-mail you an online invoice, via PayPal, with instructions of how to pay.

If paying by cash or cheque, please pay when collecting your goods.

Orders via Telephone or Mail

We do accept orders via telephone or through the post.  We will confirm your order with you and payment may be made by cheque as above.

Making a Contract with Us

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. 

Online Ordering - We will e-mail you to confirm that we have received and accepted your order and you will be advised of the despatch date of your goods. 

Other ordering methods – Confirmation of your order will be made over the telephone where possible or in writing if necessary.

In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available we will inform you and give you the option of replacement goods of the same value or a refund where payment has already been made. 

Delivery

Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £4.00 per delivery address.

We aim to send out all confirmed orders within 3 working days.  We use Royal Mail First Class and Standard Parcel Post so please allow up to 7 working days for delivery (despatch + posting time).  If paying by cheque, please allow longer for your cheque to clear.

If goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.

Address Details - Incorrect personal details may lead to problems or delays in delivery, so before placing your order, please ensure that you have included the full address details, including postcode.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) to send products to you by mail order.  Any information you do provide will be kept in the strictest confidence and will not be used for any purposes other that those associated with successfully completing your order.

Cancellation and Returns

You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the day of delivery.  To do this, please e-mail or write to us.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation.  However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.  You must ensure the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.

If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection.  If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights – for example, if goods are faulty or mis-described.

Faulty Goods
If there is a problem with the goods, please contact us.  We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.
Changes to these Terms

These terms were last changed on 14 September 2006.  Previous versions of our standard terms and conditions can be viewed here.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.
